A beach made for whole days
Lagoinha has flat, firm sand that is great for walking and a shallow sea of small waves that turns into a huge natural pool at low tide — perfect for children. Together with Sapê and Maranduba it forms Ubatuba's longest continuous stretch of beach, almost 7 km.
On the left corner you'll find the kiosk, beach tennis and volleyball courts, stand-up paddle board rental and the departure point for boat trips and banana boat rides. The calm, shallow mouth of the Lagoinha river is the kids' favourite spot.
The chalets are about 50 metres from the sand — you can walk down in flip-flops, with no avenue to cross.
On foot
Seven Beaches Trail
The best-loved trail in southern Ubatuba starts right next door: it links Lagoinha to Fortaleza Beach through 10 km of forest, rocky shores and seven near-deserted beaches. Walk just a stretch or do the full crossing — and come back by boat.

A caiçara fishing village with canoes on the sand, fresh fish and small family-run restaurants. A living lesson in São Paulo's coastal culture.

Grande do Bonete Beach
A wide strip of sand and good sea for a whole afternoon. The path here is flat and easy — doable with children who are used to walking.

Full crossing to Fortaleza
Oeste, Peres, Bonete, Grande do Bonete, Deserta, Prainha and Cedro do Sul: seven beaches in a full day of forest and sea. Arrange a boat ride back from Lagoinha's tip.

The islands out front
You can see the islands from the chalets' balconies. From the beach, you reach them in minutes.
By SUP or kayak
Pontal Island
Right out front, between Sapê and Lagoinha. On calm days it's a delightful stand-up paddle trip — bring a snorkel to peek at the fish along the rocks.
Banana boat or schooner
Maranduba Island (Mar Virado)
1.3 km off Maranduba's tip, with a beach of transparent water and great snorkelling. The crossing takes 10–15 minutes and leaves just steps from here.

Anchieta Island
São Paulo's second-largest island: seven beaches, an underwater trail and the historic ruins of the old prison. Boats leave from Lagoinha's left corner.
On the water
Boat trips
From Lagoinha's left tip, boats leave for the trail beaches (Bonete, Grande do Bonete, Deserta), for Fortaleza Beach and even Anchieta Island. At Maranduba, banana boats and schooners cross to the island all day long in high season.

Lagoinha Ruins
Across the highway, the stone-and-lime ruins of the old Bom Retiro farm (18th–19th centuries), protected by CONDEPHAAT, keep the history of Ubatuba's sugarcane and coffee days. A quick visit, full of history.
Waterfalls nearby
Renata Waterfall, close by, has the region's largest natural pool and a natural rock slide. Véu da Noiva is about a 30-minute walk from the ruins — wear closed shoes.
